19-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly Northwards and move along Andhra Pradesh Coast during 36 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were  2°C above November average temperatures in Sagaing, Magway Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 9.7°C in Namsam(Southern Shan), 10.6°C in Pyinoolwin, 11.0°C each in Hakha and Tiddim, 11.8°C in Loilin and 12.0°C in Heho. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.06 inches in Kyonpyaw, 0.59 inch each in Myaungmya and Kyangin (Seiktha), 0.39 inch in Myeik and 0.16 inch in Kangyidaung.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th November 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread to widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 6th November 2024:                       Likelihood of isolated light rain with sunny periods. Degree of certainty is 60%.
