19-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly Northwards and move along Andhra Pradesh Coast during 36 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Ayeyarwady Region and isolated in Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Mon States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below November average temperature in Chin State and 2°C above November average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 7.0°C in Hakha, 9.3°C in Namsam(Southern Shan), 10.5°C in Tiddim, 11.4°C in Loilin and 12.3°C in Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.63 inch in Kyonpyaw, 0.51 inch in Bago, 0.48 inch in Danubyu, 0.32 inch in Hinthada, 0.28 inch in Zalun, 0.24 inch each in Hakha and Pyay and 0.20 inch in Ngathaichaung.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th November 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States.
