19-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly Northwards and move along Andhra Pradesh Coast during 36 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Kayin States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below November average temperature in Chin State and 2°C above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Mon States and 3°C above November average temperature in Kachin State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 6.2°C in Hakha, 10.5°C in Tiddim, 11.1°C in Nansam(Southern Shan), 11.2°C in Pyinoolwin and 12.2°C in Loilin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.50 inches in Kyaitlat, 0.75 inch in Pinlaung, 0.59 inches in Myinmu, 0.51 inch in Sagaing, 0.44 inch each in Mawlaik and Kya-In-Seikkyi and 0.39 inch in Heho.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southwest Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd November 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady,Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
