18-12-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly Northwards and move along Andhra Pradesh Coast during 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over the Southwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and is crossing North Tamil Nadu- South Andhra Pradesh coasts, near Chennai, India. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and weaken into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over South Andhra Pradesh coastal and adjoining North Tamil(India) duing next 12 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 17th October 2024: Weather will be partly cloudy in Kachin, Northern Shan States. Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Bago  Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%. widespread in Eastern Shan State, Kachin, Southern

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
