BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and it is centered at about 630 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 145 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai (India). Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 17th October 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Kachin, Southern Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Magway, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
