20-12-2024: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal during next 12 hours and it is likely to move North-Northeastwards during 36 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 7th October 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Southern Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing  Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of southwest monsoon from the Deltaic Myanmar Areas.
