21-12-2024: According to the observations at (03:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal further intensified into a Depression and reached over Westcentral Bay of Bengal(off Andhra Pradesh coast). It is centered at about 565 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 230 Nautical miles South of Visakhapatnam(India). The centre pressure of Depression is (1003) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (30-35) miles per hour. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan Kayin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and State with isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.74 inches in Mandalay(Aungmyaythasan), 2.80 inches in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), 2.64 inches in Shwebo, 2.56 inches in Mandalay(Chanmyathazi), 2.48 inches in Mandalay(Chanayethasan), 2.36 inches in Thazi(Hlaingtat), 1.56 inches in Thanatpin, 1.46 inches in Tiddim, 1.41 inches in Myitkyina and 1.34 inches in Taunggyi.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Northern Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak monsoon.
