BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs MST today, the Depression over Northeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Southeast Bangladesh coast has moved West-Northwestwards and crossed Bangladesh coast near Patuakhali.Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and vigorous elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 14th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be Scattered in Eastern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40-45 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
