22-12-2024:According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal almost stataionary and weaken into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely forecast to weaken gradually over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs MST today, the wave over Central and Northwest Myanmar areas still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards slowly and continue to cross Chin and Rakhine States.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Souther) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Chin, Rakhine States.
