19-12-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly Northwards and move along Andhra Pradesh Coast during 36 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (06:30) hrs MST today, the wave which is crossing over Central Myanmar areas and Northwest  areas  may continue to move slowly West-Northwestwards and  cross over Chin , Rakhine States.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 11st September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be  widespread in Naypyitaw,  Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway , Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin , Shan, Chin, Rakhine,Kayah, Kayin, Mon States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw,  Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, , Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah  States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Chin, Rakhine States.
