22-12-2024:According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal almost stataionary and weaken into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely forecast to weaken gradually over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved slowly Northwestwards and has further intensified into a Deep Depression. It is centered at about 380 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe, 410 Nautical miles West  of  Kyaukpyu (Myanmar), 85 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Gopalpur(India), 60 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Puri, 85 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Paradip, 115 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Chandbali and 175 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Digha. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs MST today, the Low Pressure Area over Northern Vietnam has moved Northwestwards and has weaken into a Low Pressure Cells and reached Northern Laos. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 9th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Shan, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9 - 12 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph.  Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
