BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards and it is centered at about 365 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe, 435 Nautical miles West of Thandwe (Myanmar), 150 Nautical miles East of Kalingapatnam(India), 115 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Gopalpur, 115 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Paradip and 200 Nautical miles South of Digha. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs MST today, the Land Depression over Mai Hich, Vietnam is likely to move Northwestwards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Mon States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9 - 12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
