19-12-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly Northwards and move along Andhra Pradesh Coast during 36 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move gradually Northwards and may further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours and thereafter, into a Depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal- North Odisha Coasts, India and Bangladesh Coast on 9-9-2024. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs MST today, the Typhoon “Yagi” has crossed over Hainan, China yesterday moved West-Northwest and reached over South China Sea. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and make landfall over Upper Vietnam during next (18) hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 7th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region, scatterd in Magway Region and Kachin, Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occissionally rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9 - 11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Increase of rain in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
