BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move gradually Northwards and may further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours and thereafter, into a Depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal- North Odisha Coasts, India and Bangladesh Coast on 9-9-2024. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs MST today, the Typhoon “Yagi” over South China Sea has moved West-Northwest and crossing over Hainan, China. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and make landfall over Upper Vietnam during next 24 hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 7th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scatterd in Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occissional rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9 - 11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
