23-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay(off South Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu Coasts) still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach Southwest Bay of Bengal(near North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India) during 24-12-2024. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastern Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move gradually Northwards and may further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours and thereafter, into a Depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal- North Odisha Coasts, India and Bangladesh Coast on 9-9-2024. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs MST today, the Typhoon “Yagi” over South China Sea has slowly moved West-Northwest slowly. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and make landfall over Hainan, China during next 3 hours and Upper Vietnam during next 36 hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in scatterd in Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kachin, Chin States, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 8 - 10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Increase of rain in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
