22-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach to Southwest Bay of Bengal(North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts)India during 24-12-2024. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal partly and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal (off North  Andhra Pradesh - South Odisha coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move gradually Northwards and may further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours and thereafter, into a Depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal- North Odisha Coasts, India during next 72 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs MST today, the Typhoon “Yagi” over South China Sea has moved West wards. It is likely continue to move Westwards and move through Hainan, China and make landfall over Upper Vientnam druing next 48 hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 6th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah State, scatterd in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin State.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 8 - 10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States.
