23-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay(off South Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu Coasts) still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach Southwest Bay of Bengal(near North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India) during 24-12-2024. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastern Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal (off North  Andhra Pradesh - South Odisha coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move gradually Northwards and may further intensify into a Depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal- North Odisha Coasts, India during next 72 hours.Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs MST today, the Typhoon “Yagi” over South China Sea has moved West slowly. It is likely continue to move Westwards and move through Hainan, China and make landfall over Upper Vientnam druing next 48 hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 6th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scatterd in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Nayptitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayin States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 7 - 9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States.
