19-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly Northwards and move along Andhra Pradesh Coast during 36 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 2nd September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in  Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Region and Kachin, Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in  Bago Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfall  in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Regions and  Eastern Shan ,  Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
