BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal (off North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha, India) moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 585 Nautical miles West-Northwest of Hainggyigyun, 575 Nautical miles West of Thandwe (Myanmar), 65 Nautical miles East of Vishakhapatnam, 85 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Gopalpur and 25 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kalingapatnam (India). Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 1st September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing Region and Chin State widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Kayah States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
