BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over South Bangladesh still persists. It is likely to move north-northwestwards and may further intensify into a Well marked low pressure area over Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal, India during next (19-8-2024). Thereafter, it is likely to move west-northwestwards and may cross Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand, India. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 18th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing , Mandalay, Magway , Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
