SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Chin State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regios and Northern Shan State, farily widespread in Yangon Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.74 inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, 2.83 inches in Heho, 2.76 inches in Nyaung Shwe, 2.09 inches in Dawei, 2.01 inches in Taunggu, 1.54 inches in Taunggyi, 1.38 inches in Mawlamyinekyun, 1.22 inches in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri) and 1.18 inches each in Loilin and Minesat.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan State.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Shan State.
