23-12-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach to Southwest Bay of Bengal(North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts)India during 24-12-2024. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Kachin, Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State and in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.73 inches in Myitkyina, 0.88 inch in Ngaputaw, 0.63 inch in Chaungsone, 0.59 inch each in Wakema and Kawkareik, 0.55 inch each in Mudon and Kyeikkhame, 0.50 inch each in Paing Kyone and Paung, 0.48 inch in Kya-In-Seikkyi, 0.46 inch each in Pyay and Kyeikmayaw and 0.39 inch in Labutta.

BAY INFERENCE:  Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak Monsoon.
