23-12-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach to Southwest Bay of Bengal(North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts)India during 24-12-2024. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Chin State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.79 inches in Kyaukpyu, 3.54 inches in Hpa-an, 3.15 inches in Naypyitaw(Pobbathiri), 3.11 inches in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), 2.80 inches in Gwa, 2.64 inches in Danubyu, 2.24 inches in Thaton, 2.13 inches in Kyaunggon, 2.05 inches in Okkan and 1.89 inches in Belin.

BAY INFERENCE:  Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate to strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
