SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Magway Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine, Kayin States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.43 inches in Kyeikkhame, 4.80 inches in Sittwe, 3.78 inches in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri), 3.66 inches in Naypyitaw(Zabuthiri), 3.58 inches in Thaton, 3.19 inches in Kamamaung, 3.15 inches in Zalun, 2.99 inches in Hpa-an, 2.84 inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, 2.80 inches in Chaungsone and 2.68 inches in Thayat.

BAY INFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
