23-12-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach to Southwest Bay of Bengal(North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts)India during 24-12-2024. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions, scattered in Magway Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Kachin, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 6.26 inches in Yangon(Mayangone), 5.75 inches in Ngathaichaung, 5.71 inches in Wakema, 4.90 inches in Nyaungdon, 4.80 inches in Kyeikkhame, 4.72 inches in Myeik, 4.52 inches in Gwa, 4.29 inches in Maubin, 4.13 inches in Hinthada, 4.09 inches in Einme and 4.06 inches in Tharrawady.

BAY INFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 8-11 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
