BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal. It may further intensify and move Northwestwards towards Odisha Coast, India. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 19th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon Regions. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayin States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40-45 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-14 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
