BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 18th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in, Kachin, Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfall in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States,. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Nothern Shan, Chin, Mon States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40-45 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-14 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
