SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region and Chin State, scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.61 inches in Ye, 3.15 inches in Sittwe, 3.00 inches in Paing Kyone, 2.68 inches in Hkamti, 2.17 inches in Kyaukpyu, 2.08 inches in Dawei, 2.01 inches each in Hpa-an and Theinzayet, 1.97 inches in Kyaunggon and 1.69 inches in Belin.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Magway Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 - 35 mph. Wave height will be about 7 - 9 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5 - 7 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
