24-12-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu Coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Chin, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.51 inches in Paung, 5.00 inches each in Gwa and Kyeikdon, 4.33 inches in Thaton, 4.05 inches in Mogoke, 3.19 inches in Thabeikkyin, 3.15 inches in Kyeikmayaw, 2.80 inches in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), 2.68 inches in Hpa-an and 2.52 inches in Myitkyina.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19thJune 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States.
