SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Ayeyarwady Region and Mon State and isolated heavy falls in Sagaing, Mandalay and Bago Regions, Kachin and Kayin States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Mawlamyine (6.45)inches, Phyarpon (5.35)inches, Katha (4.93)inches, Mudon (4.72) inches, Kyeikkhame (4.65)inches, Paung (4.41)inches, Chaungsone (4.33)inches, Monyin (4.06)inches, Kanbalu (3.43)inches, Kawkayeit (3.19)inches, Kyeikmayaw (3.14)inches and Tharrawady (3.04)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20th July, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar water.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in the Southern Myanmar areas.
