25-12-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu Coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Chin State. Rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan States and widespread widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.24 inches in Chaungsone, 4.84 inches in Myingyan, 4.65 inches in Thandwe, 4.33 inches in Kyeikkhame, 4.32 inches in Natogyi, 4.21 inches in Thaton, 4.13 inches in Belin, 3.74 inches in Mawlamyine, 3.54 inches in Paung, 3.00 inches in Ngazun, 2.95 inches in Phyarpon, 2.71 inches in Ann, 2.64 inches in Ye, 2.56 inches in Hainggyigyun and 2.52 inches in Kungyangon.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rdJune 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 - 35 mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 7 - 9 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and 6 - 8 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
