25-12-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu Coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloud the Northwest and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and monsoon is moderate to Strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 31st May 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Rakhine State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan, Kayah States fairly widespread in Upper Sgaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Lower Sgaing, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 7-9feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about 5-7 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of thundery activities in the Northern Myanmar areas.
