BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, a depression over Central Bay of Bengal has moved Northeastwards and it is centered at about (285) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Coco Island, (320) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Hainggyigyun, (345) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Gwa, (350) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Thandwe (Myanmar),(380) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh) and (385) Nautical miles South of Canning (West Bangal, India). Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay. Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th May 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, (Northern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Bago Region and Rakhine, Kayin States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay. Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40-45 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-13 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of regionally and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
