SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 5°C to 6°C above April average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan State, 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw and Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions, 2°C above April average temperatures in Yangon Region and Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and 2°C below April average temperature in Kachin State. The significant day temperatures were observed 46.0°C in Chauk, 45.0°C each in Myingyan and Tada U(Aviation-Met), 44.8°C in Magway, 44.5°C each in Myinmu, Mandalay and Taungdwingyi, 44.3°C in Sinbyugyun, 44.2°C in Minbu and 44.0°C in Shwebo on 29-4-2024. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.94 inch in Putao, 0.59 inch in Machanbaw, 0.20 inch in Kyaukpadaung and 0.08 inch each in Kyaukmae and Yamethein.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st May 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan, Chin States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
