SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 5°C above April average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Mon States, 2°C above April average temperatures in Yangon Region and Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States and about April average temperatures in Kachin, Northern Shan States. The significant day temperatures were observed 45.4°C in Chauk, 44.4°C in Myingyan, 43.6°C in Aunglan, 43.5°C each in Nyaung Oo and Pakokku, 43.3°C in Sagaing, 43.2°C in Sinbyugyun, 43.1°C each in Myinmu and Magway and 43.0°C in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw) on 25-4-2024. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.43 inch in Putao, 0.35 inch in Machanbaw and 0.08 inch in Pyinoolwin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin, Eastern Shan States and isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan State. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions.
