SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw and Kachin, Kayah States and isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kayin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 5°C above April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region, 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan State, 2°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were observed 46.2°C in Chauk, 45.2°C in Myingyan, 45.0°C in Myinmu, 44.6°C in Gangaw, 44.5°C in Nyaung Oo, 44.3°C in Monywa, 44.0°C in Shwebo, 43.9°C in Sinbyugyun, 43.5°C each in Tada U(Aviation) and Pakokku on 24-4-2024. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.81 inches in Hsipaw, 0.91 inch in Minesat, 0.75 inch each in Putao and Naungcho, 0.47 inch in Machanbaw, 0.35 inch in Laydatpyin and 0.31 inch each in Kyaukmae and Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be faily widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Shan, Chin States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah State. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan State.
