SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Mon States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan State, 2°C above April average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Rakhine States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were observed 45.9°C in Chauk, 44.7°C in Nyaung Oo, 44.0°C in Aunglan, 43.7°C in Myinmu, 43.6°C each in Monywa, Myingyan and Magway, 43.5°C each in Tada U(Aviation) and Pakokku, 43.3°C in Mandalay on 23-4-2024. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.12 inch each in Pyay and Minesat.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in (Northern and Southern) Shan State, scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan States.
