SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Mon State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above April average temperatures in Sagaing, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State and 2°C below April average temperature in Kachin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 44°C in Chauk and 43°C each in Nyaung Oo, Tada U(Aviation), Minbu and Gangaw. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were 1.69 inches in Mogaung, 0.94 inch in Myitkyina, 0.47 inch in Hkamti, 0.43 inch in Muse and 0.20 inch in Mongyang.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated in (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin States.
