SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 5°C above April average temperature in Eastern Shan State, 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan States, 2°C above April average temperatures in Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about April average temperatures in Yangon Region. The significant day temperatures were 45°C in Chauk, 44°C each in Myingyan, Minbu, Magway and Sinbyugyun and 43°C each in Myinmu, Nyaung Oo, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi and Pyay. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded was 0.04 inch in Putao.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
