SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State. Weather has been generally fair in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, 2°C above April average temperatures in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 45°C in Chauk, 44°C in Nyaung Oo and 43°C each in Myingyan, Minbu and Sinbyugyun. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.11 inch each in Putao and Machanbaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-8 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin States.
