SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above March average temperatures in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and (2°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Chauk, Magway and (41°C) each in Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Bago and Shwekyin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th March 2024: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions.
