SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Chin State and scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above March average temperature in Taninthayi Region and (2°C) below March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin States, (3°C) below March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (39°C) in Nyaunglaybin and (38°C) each in Aunglan, Pyay, Bago, Shwekyin, Tharrawady, Gyobingauk, Hinthada, Ngathaichaung, Hpa-an, Myawaddy, Belin, Theinzayet and Kawthaung. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.24) inch in Hkamti, (0.16) inch each in Hakha and Tongzan, (0.12) inch in Monyin and (0.08) inch each in Myitkyina and Tiddim.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th March 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
