SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Bago Region and Eastern Shan State, isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Northern Shan State, (2°C) above March average temperatures in Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine States and (2°C) below March average temperature in Eastern Shan State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Chauk and (40°C) inch each in Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Yamethin, Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), Pyinmana, Magway, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Sinbyugyun, Ann, Pyay, Taunggu, Nyaunglaybin and Phyu. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.74) inch in Bago, (0.55) inch in Myeik, (0.44) inch in Dawei, (0.28) inch in Launglon, (0.23) inch in Khayan, (0.11) inch in Kyeikkhame and (0.08) inch in Madauk.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea, Southeast Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd March 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Northren Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and scattered in the remaing Regions and State. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State.
