SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Chin States. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and (Northern and Southern)Shan State, (2°C) above March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Chauk and Pyay and (41°C) each in Magway, Aunglan, Taunggu and Shwekyin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.16) inch in Tongzan and (0.12) inch each in Minesat and Tiddim.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Central and Southwest Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st March 2024: Rain or thundershowers are scattered in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon Regions and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Shan States and isolated to scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
