SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayah States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below February average temperatures in Yangon Region and Eastern Shan, Chin States and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (5°C) each in Heho and Mongyang, (6°C) each in Kyaukmae, Namsam(Southern Shan), Loilin and Pyinoolwin and (8°C) each in Hsipaw, Lashio, Pinlaung, Kengtung, Tiddim and Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th February 2024: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State.
