SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Lower Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State, scattered in Mandalay, Bago Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Kayin States, isolated in Magway Region and Kachin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperature in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Magway, Yangon Regions and Eastern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) each in Hakha and Tiddim, (5°C) in Heho and (6°C) in Falam. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.24) inches in Hakha, (1.97) inches in Einme, (1.80) inches in Kangyidaung, (1.47) inches in Kyaunggon and (1.22) inches in Hainggyigyun.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th January 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Shan, Chin, Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
