SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (5°C) below January average temperature in Chin State, (3°C) below January average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (2°C) below January average temperatures in Kachin, Northern Shan States and (2°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Rakhine State and about January average temperatures in the remaing Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-5°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Pyinoolwin, (3°C) each in Putao and Kyaukmae and (4°C) each in Heho, Loilin, Mongyang, Tiddim and Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th January 2024: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Chin States.
