SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below January average temperature in Chin State, (2°C) below January average temperature in Northern Shan State and (2°C) above January average temperature in Kayin State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-3°C) in Hakha, (3°C) each in Heho and Loilin and (4°C) each in Kyaukmae, Namsam(Southern Shan), Mongyang, Tiddim and Pyinoolwin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 06th January 2024: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Chin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Chin States.
