SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State, isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above December average temperatures in Bago Region and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Kayah, Mon States, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin States and (5°C) above December average temperature in Sagaing Region and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (5°C) in Heho, (6°C) each in Loilin and Mongyang and (7°C) each in Pinlaung, Kengtung and Tiddim. The noteworthy amount of rainfalls recorded were (0.28) inch in Shwegu, (0.24) inch each in Bhamo, Muse and (0.08) inch in Mogaung. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded was Hpa-an (0.16) inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th December 2023: Likelihood of isolated light rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Kachin, Shan States.
