BAY INFERENCE : According to the observations at (18:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” which crossed South Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Machilipatnam and near Bapatla weakened into a Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG”. It is likely to move North-Northeastwards and gradually weaken into a Depression during next (12) hrs. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 06th December 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Regionand (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in and Northern Shan State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Chin States.
